Dave Coffey writes things, directs things, and occasionally pretends to be other people on stage for money. He's the writer/director behind RTÉ's IFTA-nominated hit Dan & Becs, and the mind behind improvised comedy shows Phoning It In and Talking It Out. He co-created Sarah + Steve, produced The Commute for RTÉ and regularly writes for satirical comedy sketch show Callan's Kicks.
When he's not writing comedy, he's on stage (most recently at Electric Picnic, Body & Soul, and Beatyard) creating smart, character-driven comedy with a satirical edge.
By day, Dave is a Creative Director at THINKHOUSE, where he's spent the last decade building through-the-line campaigns for brands that want to connect with young audiences.
Since joining as a copywriter in 2015, he's created work for Heineken Ireland, Three Mobile, Lynx, Electric Ireland, Dunnes Stores, innocent, Ben & Jerry's, and more, including TV commercials for Barry's Tea, Jameson Whiskey, and Keelings, and radio ads for SuperValu, eFlow, and Frank and Honest.
Dave is currently challenging himself with a part-time Masters in Gaming and VR from Dundalk IT.
